Center High School has a long tradition of involvement in the Youth & Government program sponsored statewide by the YMCA. Students travel to Jefferson City each December to participate in a weekend long mock government. Students develop, propose, and campaign for specific legislation, participate in judicial hearings on a variety of topics, and serve as journalists documenting the weekend. Many Center students have fulfilled leadership positions such as State Governor, Chief Justice of the Supreme Court, and Director of Media in recent years. Your support will help cover program and transportation costs for between 15 and 25 students each year.
