Center's Parents as Teachers program has worked with thousands of Center families, providing resources to help parents to act as their child's first and best teacher! A particular focus area, especially with low income families, is helping children develop an early love for reading as well as improving their reading skills before they start kindergarten. Numerous studies show that early childhood literacy has a dramatic impact on the academic and social success for kids as they grow into adulthood. Your support will help our Parent Educators provide families with books, ideas, and techniques to help their children develop into active readers!
