The Bill and Peggy Lyons Support School Music program was established in 2003 in order to provide area school districts the opportunity to host the Symphony and raise funding in support of their district’s fine arts programs. Since its inception, local school music programs have raised more than $158,000 in revenue as a direct result of Support School Music.

Seating is General Admission. Doors will open at 6:15pm for seating with the performance beginning at 7:00pm. The concert will end at approximately 8:30pm.

In addition to the performance itself, the Kansas City Symphony works with students in an open rehearsal during the day prior to the public performance.

Center School District offers a comprehensive arts program to expose students to a wide variety of art including music, theater, and visual arts. Programs begin in elementary school with all students receiving art instruction ona regular basis, including the opportunity to create their own works of art. Performance based activities include band, choral music, a variety of theatrical performances each year, and a wide range of visual arts experiences including public exhibitions of student art work.
